Value of goods through Sharjah-Oman logistics corridor jumps 66% in three months

The value of goods transiting the Sharjah-Oman logistics corridor rose more than 66 percent in its first three months, reaching Dh1.7 billion ($463.21 million) since May 17. The corridor was launched by Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority with Oman Customs. Lorry movements surpassed 34,000 and processed customs declarations exceeded 32,000 in the period.

Why it matters: The corridor's early growth illustrates how supply chains are being rerouted to bypass the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran war.
