Govt: Ukraine Has 'Stable Connection' to Starlink

Ukraine's government said on Saturday that the country again has a stable connection to Starlink after days of tension with Washington over the SpaceX-made network. Defence Minister Yevgeniy Khmara said monitoring systems were recording a recovery in the speed of Starlink and Starshield, and that the result mattered for the front, for soldiers, for drone operations, for logistics and for communications. The satellite network has been at the centre of a dispute in which President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Washington of failing to warn Kyiv of incoming missile strikes and of throttling Starlink's speed.

Why it matters: The dispute shows satellite communications sitting at the intersection of the briefing's defence and security theme and the dependence of military operations on privately operated infrastructure.
