Oceania Bunkering to launch STS bunkering at Mozambique’s Beira Anchorage

Oceania Bunkering Mozambique will begin ship-to-ship bunkering operations at Beira Anchorage in October, supported by the 2,500-mt-capacity bunker barge Great Wall Energy, delivered in mid-September. The company will initially supply LSMGO and plans to add other fuel grades, including VLSFO, as operations expand later this year. The initiative is backed by the Mozambican state entities Petromoc and CFM Logistics, and the company already supplies marine fuels at Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Pemba and Quelimane.

Why it matters: It adds a bunkering location on the routing around the Cape of Good Hope, where longer voyages are raising demand for fuel supply along trade routes.
